Every day after work, do you feel very tiring for almost everyday? Even after work, you will still be worried about your job or you still need to rush and complete up any work which is due for the next day? Do you feel physically and emotionally exhausted in your job?
Burnout has become common and I hope everyone will address this important issue. Do not let burnout burn you out and ignore it! In long terms, burnout can lead to huge consequences which you will need to face.
1. Identify your own specific roles and responsibility in your own job clearly
Well, it is very important not to have role conflicts or role confusion and do extra work that you don't really need to do!
2. Do learn to clarify from your supervisor or the higher ups who in-charge of you when you have doubts in your roles.
Ask them to define your own roles of your
job clearly if you have any confusions or doubts about your own roles. So this step 2 is link with step 1.
3. Learn to reject
If the work that is assigned to you is not according to your own job roles, do politely tell, explain to your supervisor or your higher-up and reject it.
4. Leave on time!
Learn to leave on time when you end your work. Have a watch and set a silent vibration alarm to remind you that you end work.
5. Learn to acquire appropriate healthy coping skills or techniques to deal with
stress effectively and reduce the symptoms of burnout.
Well, what kind of healthy coping skills or techniques to use to deal with stress effectively and to reduce the symptoms of burnout? Is easy.
- You can spend some time like 15 minutes to get to exercise.
- If you don't like vigorous exercises, you can get to slow down yourself through strolling/walking slowly in garden.
If you don't really feel like going out or to exercise, you can learn to do mediation. I find that mediation is quite a good therapy to calm my mind down and not to think about anything.
- Go for shopping! One of my favourite therapy too!

6. Learn to maintain a balance between work and their personal life
Last point and I really that this is the most important point. Yes, do remember work life balance!
